The last time Zungu played for Sundowns was in the Carling Black Label Cup in November, and he even took it a step further to do extra training in an effort to keep himself fit.

Now, according to Rhulani Mokwena, Zungu has had a little setback as he’s currently nursing a suspected groin injury.

MAMELODI SUNDOWNS EXPLAIN BONGANI ZUNGU’S ABSENCE

“Bongani has got a slight setback with a small injury which will pull him back further behind in his progress. It’s a bit of a problem in the pelvic/groin area, the abdominal area, the hernia, it is that type of space. But it is not as serious and he should be ready to go very soon,” Mokwena explained.
