Sundowns star headlines list of 6 players suspended for PSL return

The DStv Premiership season is over a week away from its resumption following a two-month break due to the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The first batch of league matches will be played on Friday 30 December with the second batch scheduled for New Year’s eve.

On Friday, all roads will lead to Loftus Versveld Stadium where Mamelodi Sundowns will be hosting Orlando Pirates at 15:30.

Sundowns will, however, be without Aubrey Modiba who is suspended due to the red card he received prior to the recess.

Later that day, Cape Town City will be at home against Marumo Gallants, and they will have to do without the suspended Jaedin Rhodes.

Gallants will also miss midfielder Celimpilo Ngema, who accumulated four yellow cards during the first half of the season.

The club hit the most by suspensions is Sekhukhune United, who will be without THREE players in Asekho Tiwani, Elias Mokwana, and Pogisho Mahlangu against AmaZulu on 31 December.
