Mamelodi Sundowns are ‘working on one or two deals’ – Rhulani

Mamelodi Sundowns co-coach Rhulani Mokwena has hinted at more signings for the club before the closing of the transfer window on 31 August.

Mamelodi Sundowns co-coach Rhulani Mokwena has hinted at more signings for the club before the closing of the transfer window on 31 August.

Mokwena was speaking to SuperSport TV on the back of Sundowns’ 1-0 league win over AmaZulu on Friday night.

As things stand, Sundowns are still heavily linked with SuperSport United midfield duo of Sipho Mbule and Teboho Mokoena.

However, they are yet to make a breakthrough in their negotiations with SuperSport United, but judging by Mokwena’s comments, Sundowns still haven’t given up.

Of course, Mokwena wouldn’t disclose their targets in the media, and for him, this is a wait-and-see game.

“Whether or not we’re done on the transfer window, that one, let’s wait and see because we’re working on one or two deals but we can’t let the cat out of the bag yet,” said Mokwena.

Sundowns have made six new signings thus far, and they are Neo Maema, Grant Kekana, Divine Lunga, Pavol Safranko, Sifiso Ngobeni, and Thabiso Kutumela.
