Mamelodi Sundowns are R1.5 million richer after winning the Q1-innovation following the completion of the first eight league games.

The Brazilians have been unstoppable so far this season with seven wins and a single draw in the eight games they have played.

That’s a total of 22 points from a possible 24; a record they set when they won their third successive league title during the 1999-00 season.

This means have already collected R9.5 million for their domestic efforts thus far, and they can only hope to build from this.

Meanwhile, Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates finished Q1 (eight games) in sixth and eighth place respectively.
