Lorch: What jersey number will the attacker wear at Sundowns?

Thembinkosi Lorch is still trying to settle in at Mamelodi Sundowns following his transfer deadline day move from Orlando Pirates in January.

WILL LORCH USE HIS TRADITIONAL NO.3 JERSEY NUMBER AT SUNDOWNS?

Lorch is famously known for his preference to use the No.3 jersey at club level – and this was the case at both Chippa United and Pirates.

However, he finds himself in a new environment at Sundowns where that jersey number is occupied by Rushine de Reuck who has made it his own.

Now, despite the fact that De Reuck is using the No.3 jersey, Lorch CANNOT use it, at least until next season as the rules prohibits players from changing numbers in the middle of the season unless they move to different clubs.

This means Lorch CAN only reclaim the No.3 jersey at the start of next season provided he, De Reuck and Sundowns come to some sort of an agreement.

De Reuck, the current occupant of the No.3 jersey at Sundowns, will, of course, have the final word as to whether or not he surrenders the number.

REVEALED: LORCH IS USING JERSEY NUMBER 37 AT TRAINING

As things stand, Lorch is using the number 37 jersey at the Sundowns training sessions, and it remains to be seen if that’s the number he will make his debut with.
