Lorch sends message to Chiefs ahead of the Soweto Derby

Orlando Pirates winger Thembinkosi Lorch believes his team is ready to beat rivals Kaizer Chiefs in the Soweto Derby this Saturday.

The 30-year-old helped the Buccaneers register their first win in five matches after beating Sekhukhune United 1-0 on Tuesday,

Since returning from injury, Nyoso has bagged three man of the match awards including one on Tuesday.

“It wasn’t an easy game, you can see the legs are gone, fatigue you know, but we keep on going [and] we focus on the next one. which is Chiefs on Saturday,” Lorch told SuperSport TV after the Sekhukhune match.

“It was very important to get maximum points, we have not been doing well. i think for games without getting a result, so it was important to get three points to give us a boost for the next game on Saturday.”

Lorch, who has six goals against Kaizer Chiefs, said the team is ready for the derby and promised a win.

“Eish, it’s another tough game, tough opponent, I think we’re off tomorrow, we need to recover and we’ll see, we have to plan for that like all other games. [We can promise] a win, we’re going there to win, every game we play, we want three points, we going there to win,” said Lorch.
