Dolly made sure he marked his Soweto Derby with a brace at the FNB Stadium against Pirates, continuing his rich vein of form for Chiefs.
Dolly latest to score Soweto Derby debut brace
Dolly’s first goal came from a Thulani Hlatshwayo error, where the Pirates captain left his back pass to his goalkeeper Siyabonga Mpontshane short with both Khama Billiat and Dolly again showing how lethal a combination they are, as they combined to make give Chiefs the lead.
After a late equaliser from Pirates, it felt like it would be yet another share of the spoils in a Soweto Derby which has been synonymous with stalemates over the last couple of seasons. However, it would be that combination again, which would prove to do the trick for Chiefs. Buccaneers defender Olisah Ndah was adjudged to have fouled Billiat in the box, giving Amakhosi a chance to win, and Dolly stepped up to score and secure the win.

Not only did Dolly secure the win with that penalty, but he also managed to add his name into folklore. With that Soweto Derby brace, the winger became only the eighth player in the history of the derby to score a brace on his debut for either Chiefs or Pirates.
Other players to have done so for either Chiefs or Pirates
The other players to have scored a brace on Soweto Derby debut are Benni McCarthy, a Chiefs support who scored his two goals for Pirates against the Glamour boys coincidently. Another Pirates player who scored for Pirates against Chiefs is the late Lesley Manyathela who was coincidently a product of the Chiefs academy.
The other players include Siyabonga Nomvete and Thabang Lebese who featured for both clubs. They are joined by the likes of Excellent Walaza, Knowledge Musona and Luvuyo Memela who scored Soweto Derby braces on their debuts for either Chiefs or Pirates.
