Kaizer Chiefs willing to listen to offers for AFCON star

Kaizer Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung has provided an official updated on the status of one of the club’s defenders.

Kaizer Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung has opened up on Edmilson Dove’s situation at Naturena.

The Mozambican defender is currently out with his national team at the ongoing AFCON 2023 tournament in Ivory Coast.

Dove’s contract comes to a close in June 2024; however, the club do have an option to extend it.

Bobby Motaung gives update on Kaizer Chiefs star

“We are not worried (about losing him). If there is interest, obviously we will look at the offer, if there is an offer for him.” Bobby Motaung told SoccerLaduma.

“But at the moment, we are confident he is still with the club. We still have a long way to go with him. We’ve got an option on his contract, so it’s not like we are panicking.”

In other news, former Kaizer Chiefs star Siyabonga Ngezana has returned back to Romania following a brief holiday in South Africa.

The FCSB defender has been linked with a blockbuster move to French Ligue 1 side Lorient in recent weeks.

This comes after a string of promising performances for Romanian giants FCSB following his move to the club at the beginning of the season.

According to reports, FCSB rejected a R105 million offer for Ngezana from Lorient.

While the negotiations drag on, the Kaizer Chiefs academy graduate has already returned back to Romania and is preparing for tomorrow’s match against UTA Arad.

Former Amakhosi star Ngezana returns back to Europe

According to SoccerLaduma, Siyabonga Ngezana has safely returned back to Romania and is preparing for Monday’s Romanian Liga 1 clash against UTA Arad.

FCSB currently lead the way on the log standings with 44 points from 21 matches.
