According to the Ghana Soccernet website, Amakhosi have officially made an offer for 20-year-old Cameroon international forward, who has taken the Ghana Premier League by storm this season.

Etouga is the league’s top scorer with 20 goals from 27 games and is being wanted by numerous clubs, including French sides Stade Rennais and St Etienne, Turkish club Galatasaray, Portuguese side SD Eibar as well as Spanish side Atletico Madrid.

Kotoko coach Prosper Narteh Ogum told a press conference that he rates the young forward as the ultimate ‘complete player’.

“He’s a complete player in the sense that, physically, he’s there, technically he is a good player and tactically too and psychologically,” said Ogum as quoted by ModernGhana.com.

Kaizer Chiefs have been active in the transfer market

“He has that confidence and self-believe that he is capable of doing it, and I like his work ethic; he is very humble, respectful, and always ready to listen to instructions, and I will keep saying this.

“When he plays a game and doesn’t do well, he becomes so worried that I’ve to talk to him to calm him down. So on the whole, I think he’s a good player, always focused, and he is ready to work, and technically I think he’s one of the best players in the league,” Ogum added.

As reported extensively by The South African website, Kaizer Chiefs have been active in the transfer window, discarding 10 players while at the time of publishing they have only signed three replacements.

There are still plenty of gaps to be filled with the new season now just two months away.
