The 100th Soweto derby takes place this afternoon and both Gavin Hunt and Josef Zinnbauer have named their Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates starting lineups respectively.
Heading into this afternoon’s Soweto derby, the form of both teams could not be more different with Orlando Pirates flying high while Kaizer Chiefs are arguably going through one of their most difficult spells in their 50-year history.

“If you’re a professional footballer, I always say to players, ‘You play in the shop window, you should be training and playing everyday like somebody’s watching you,'” Kaizer Chiefs head coach Gavin Hunt said.
“If you do that, football gods will take care of you. So, that’s the way I work – everyday is a trial, everyday we need to be better than the day before and then things will take care of itself.
“I certainly don’t want my players cheating the game, because you will get caught out. But that’s the way I look at it. We need to just forget about the contract situations and try to play every game like it’s our last.
“I have not seen anyone cutting corners at Kaizer Chiefs. I cannot fault anyone as long as they are working hard and putting effort, that is the most important thing.”
