It’s been a while since Orlando Pirates beat Kaizer Chiefs in a Soweto Derby. They’ll get a chance on May 6th in the Nedbank Cup semifinals to erase some of the hurt.

5 March 2022: Pirates 1-2 Chiefs
29 October 2022: Chiefs 1-0 Pirates
25 February 2023: Chiefs 1-0 Pirates

The Glamour Boys have been the overwhelmingly dominant force in recent meetings with their fiercest rivals. A sixth Soweto Derby win on the bounce would take them to the Nedbank Cup final, which would be something for Chiefs fans to shout about in an otherwise frustrating campaign.
