ICYMI: Former Kaizer Chiefs star was bagging R18 million annually in Belgium

Ranga is ready to roll

So far, Ranga Chivaviro’s Kaizer Chiefs career has been a stop-start affair, with limited starts and minor injury concerns. By the time the international break is done, Chivaviro will be a lot closer to full fitness and knocking on the door for selection. After his exploits for Gallants last season, a club for whom he scored 17 goals across all competitions in 2022-23, we all know he’s a capable goal-scorer. He got 10 in 19 league appearances alone.

The international break came at a good time for Kaizer Chiefs

Chiefs were hanging on a little towards the end of their MTN8 semi-final clash with Sundowns, but a 1-1 draw in the first leg is a very decent result. Over the international break, just one Amakhosi star (Pule Mmodi) is away with his country. That leaves Molefi Ntseki with the opportunity to regroup, both tactically and physically, and welcome a few faces back. One of those is Edmilson Dove, who is fit again after a groin injury sustained against Yanga SC in pre-season.
