Matlou set for a new contract

Not so long ago, George Matlou was deemed surplus to requirements at Naturena. Now, according to reports, he’s set for a contract extension with the Glamour Boys.

“The technical team is happy with his attitude and performance this season and they are the ones who have recommended that he be kept at the team for at least a further year.” a source told SoccerLaduma.

“And management had decided to offer him that one-year contract plus a one-year option. His current contract ends in June 2024 so that means he could be at the team until 2026 if the team exercises the one-year option.”

KAIZER CHIEFS WELCOME BACK DOLLY

Although Molefi Ntseki’s charges lost their first home league match of the season, and their fourth overall, they did at least welcome back Keagan Dolly from injury who made a substitute appearance against Cape Town City. The former Montpellier man has been out since April with a serious knee injury. A crumb of comfort on an otherwise disappointing evening. Although Chiefs have only lost one home league match this term, they’ve also produced two goalless stalemates in from of their own fans.
