Chiefs beat Pirates to sign in-demand star!

DStv Premiership giants Kaizer Chiefs have signed another central defender in Given Msimango. Sorry, Orlando Pirates.

Kaizer Chiefs’ central defence looks set and sorted for several seasons now. Amakhosi have reportedly signed Given Msimango from TS Galaxy.

KAIZER CHIEFS SIGN GIVEN MSIMANGO FROM TS GALAXY

According to the report by SABC Sport’s Mazola Molefe, the 25-year-old from Gauteng’s Brakpan has signed a four-year contract but will move at the end of the season in June.

“Kaizer Chiefs are believed to have concluded the signing of highly rated TS Galaxy captain and defender Given Msimango following a lengthy chase, SABC Sport understands,” the report said.

“The Glamour Boys were reportedly close to bagging the centre back ahead of the current 2022/23 season, but the deal did not go through even after Galaxy chairman Tim Sukazi made it clear that The Rockets were open to selling.

“According to impeccable sources, Msimango is understood to have put pen to paper on a four-year deal and set to move to Naturena from 1 July.”

Msimango becomes the second central defender that will arrive next season alongside Thatayaone Ditlhokwe from SuperSport United.

FORMER AMAKHOSI STAR MOVES TO AMERICA

Leonardo Castro’s exit out of Kaizer Chiefs was one of the big surprises last season but careers have to move on. The Colombian has now found a new home.

The 33-year-old’s move was confirmed by his new club Greenville Triumph who play in the third tier in the United States of America.
