Kaizer Chiefs proactively looking at options

Club vice-captain Keagan Dolly signed a two-year deal in 2021 with an option for a further year. He is now in that extension year and a further extension looks unlikely. Former SA youth international Tashreeq Matthews is on their radar as a long-term replacement. The 23-year-old has experience playing in Europe, notably with Borussia Dortmund and now Sirius in Sweden’s top flight. Meanwhile, stalwart left-back Sifiso Hlanti is unlikely to be offered a new contract with Stellenbosch’s Fawaaz Basadien being lined up as his replacement. Talks are reportedly at an advanced stage there.
