According to Soccer Laduma, Wandile Duba could soon be seen at a different club as competition for place at Chiefs is stiff.

As things stand, Chiefs have four strikers in Ranga Chivaviro, Ashley du Preez, Christian Saile and Bonflis-Caleb Bimenyimana.

There has also been talk of Colombian striker Jasond Gonzalez joining Chiefs, and that would push Duba further down the pecking order.

KAIZER CHIEFS SET TO LOAN OUT STRIKER – REPORT

“He is a very good, young talented striker. But at the moment, the team is looking at results more critically,” said the source.

“His situation is different from the midfielders. In his position, goals are needed, and they don’t want to put him under that intense pressure at the moment, that’s why they want to loan him out,” added the same source.

KAIZER CHIEFS STRIKER DUBA COULD ALSO RETURN TO DDC TEAM

Another source claimed that should Duba be unable to find a club, he will then get minutes in the Chiefs DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) team.

“The team will make a decision on Wandile. The decision will depend on whether he finds a team to be loaned out to or not,” said the second source.

“If no team is found, he will be playing in the DDC team. He’s only 19 and he can still play and gain experience from there.

“But the best would have been a loan even if it is to an NFD side (Motsepe Foundation Championship).”
