Kaizer Chiefs to return to action later this week

After an entire week off, Kaizer Chiefs return to action this week when they travel to Limpopo to face Polokwane City

Kaizer Chiefs are enjoying a ‘mini’ break however they’ll return to action later this week.

Cavin Johnson will be looking to build on from their previous 1-0 victory over Swallows FC last weekend.

Christian Saile’s late strike was enough to see his side over the line at the Dobsonville Stadium.

Chiefs are up to seventh on the DStv Premiership log standings but they’ll hope to continue their rise with a victory over Polokwane City.

When do Kaizer Chiefs play next?

They’ll travel to Limpopo to face Polokwane City on 09 December 2023.

Chiefs captain arrives at training DRUNK?

“Long-serving Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune is reportedly in hot water and faces suspension and demotion for alleged misconduct, FARPost can exclusively reveal.” a report read.

“Khune was recently caught arriving for training allegedly under the influence of alcohol. The club has taken a strong stance against the incident and is reportedly taking steps to suspend and demote him.”

“The club’s management met the former Bafana Bafana goalie and expressed its “extreme disappointment” with his behaviour. They made it clear that his actions were ‘unacceptable’ and that he would face ‘severe disciplinary action’.”

In other news, Kaizer Chiefs legend Bernard Parker has broken his silence on the leg breaking tackle he received from Mamelodi Sundowns’ Bongani Zungu.

Now plying his trade for TS Galaxy. Bernard Parker was on the receiving end of a leg breaking tackle last month.

The Bafana Bafana legend underwent immediate surgery. He is now on the mend however he’ll remain on the sidelines for an extended period of time

Parker opens up on Bongani Zungu horror tackle

“I think there was ill intent in the Zungu tackle,” Parker told SportsNightAmplified on MetroFM.

“I think it was a build up of emotions from him and looking at the two goals scored by Galaxy and how he was involved. When the incident happened, it was building up to it. We are all human and things like that do happen, I am not angry.”
