Siyethemba Sithebe will remain at Kaizer Chiefs for the upcoming season according to reports.

The midfielder joined the Glamour Boys at the beginning of last season and while showing signs of his quality, he struggled to boss things in the middle of the park.

Sithebe made 23 starts for Arthur Zwane’s side last season. And much like his teammates, Sithebe blew hot and cold throughout.

The exit of Cole Alexander and Phathutshedzo Nange however is good news for Sithebe who’s now set to remain at the club!

“What they have said is that after the departure of Phathutshedzo Nange and Cole Alexander, they don’t have depth in the defensive midfield areas as they depend on youngster Samkelo Zwane and Sithembe himself.” a source told SoccerLaduma.

“And since they have not yet signed any experienced defensive midfielder, they have decided it’s good that Sithebe sees his contract through. That’s why they want to keep him until at the end of his contract next year.”

In other news, legendary former Kaizer Chiefs striker Pollen Ndlanya believes all PSL teams should have a striker/attacking coach.

This comes after the league failed to record a single top goal scorer with the award being shared by Peter Shalulile and Khanyisa Mayo.

The winning duo finished the season on a meager 12 goals each and that’s concerning according to Ndlanya.

“Look, this thing is happening everywhere. Benni McCarthy was roped in at a big club, Manchester United to help in the strikeforce. Look now at (Marcus) Rashford what he is doing.” Ndlanya explained regarding ‘attacking coaches’ as quoted by SoccerLaduma.

“It’s something our so-called big bosses must look up to. They much check what is the problem. For me I don’t think they are worried what is the problem. I feel sorry for the supporters.

“Now the defenders are so relaxed, they are in a picnic, they know that, ‘Ah, there’s no danger there’. It’s a problem.”
