Kaizer Chiefs are set to miss out on two key transfer targets, according to the latest transfer gossip.

The Glamour Boys have been linked with two high-quality defenders; however, reports suggest the club have accepted the fact that they’re likely to miss out on both players.

Amakhosi target Simba SC left-back Mohamed Hussein looks set to move to Europe, while the club are also likely to be out-priced in the race to sign Stellenbosch star Fawaaz Basadien.

“But the way things are going, it’s becoming tough to sign that left back. Tanzanian Mohamed Hussein has offers from Europe, and his club Simba SC prefer Europe to Kaizer Chiefs,” an insider told SoccerLaduma.

“Basadien of Stellenbosch FC had signed a new contract with the club. This means he won’t come cheap, considering teams like Mamelodi Sundowns are also interested in him.

“That’s why the club is set to offer another one year to Hlanti so that they are safe in that department. It’s not a done deal yet, but a deal is on the cards, and it could happen before the end of the season.”

The same publication has reported that Sifiso Hlanti’s contract has been extended due to the club’s double transfer blow.
