The Glamour Boys are the most decorated team in South African top-flight football with 55 trophies to their name. The 13-time champions, however, haven’t been the best team in the land since the 2014-15 campaign.

The Brazilians have won eight of the last 10 DStv Premiership titles including six in a row. The last team other than Sundowns to win the league in South Africa was Bidvest Wits in 2017 The next frontier for Sundowns will be to become champions of Africa again, a feat they last achieved in 2016 under Pitso Mosimane.
