Experienced Kaizer Chiefs defender Sifiso Hlanti is unlikely to feature for the Glamour Boys anytime soon.

Despite returning to full fitness physically, the Bafana Bafana defender is still suffering from the mental effects of his crushing injury.

Hlanti, 32-years-old, ruptured his achilles tendon almost 10 months ago in training.

And while he has returned to training, and is physically fine, Arthur Zwane is still extremely worried about his emotional recovery.

“Unfortunately, on the left, we only have Austin Dube and we also thinking of Hlanti, that he can play there.” the Kaizer Chiefs coach told SoccerLaduma.

“But looking at Hlanti at the moment I don’t see him being available anytime soon.

“Yes, he is training with the boys but in his mind, you can see he still has that bit of fear.

“He is sometimes pulling out of tackles, so we are trying to manage him.

“We don’t want to rush him and then Kaizer Chiefs end up hurting him even more so we will try to manage him.

“With that gradually but with the hope that he will get back to his full fitness levels where we can be able to have that confidence in him that he has in himself.”

In other news, Kaizer Chiefs will be without a third player this week after George Matlou became the latest Glamour Boy to receive a Bafana Bafana call-up.

Bafana Bafana are currently preparing to face Comoros in the second leg of their CHAN Qualifier.

The first leg which was played in the island nation last Friday ended 1-0 in favour of South Africa.

Kaizer Chiefs duo of Keletso Sifama and Rahim Milazi are also part of Helman Mkhalele’s squad.
