Former Kaizer Chiefs star winger joins second tier side

A former Kaizer Chiefs winger has reportedly found a new club in the Motsepe Foundation Championship at the age of 35.

Former Kaizer Chiefs star Joseph Molangoane has reportedly completed a move to a Motsepe Foundation Championship team.

Molangoane parted ways with Marumo Gallants following their relegation at the end of last season.

Now, according to the latest reports, the speedy midfielder has joined Platinum City Rovers on a six-month contract.

“This publication has it on good authority that Molangoane has joined Motsepe Foundation Championship side Platinum City Rovers. Molangoane joins City Rovers on a six-month deal with an option to extend for another season.” a FARPost report read.

Joseph Molangoane made 48 appearances for Kaizer Chiefs between 2016 and 2020 however, a nasty ankle injury meant the club ultimately didn’t get to see the best of him.

In other news, former Kaizer Chiefs star Siyabonga Ngezana has returned back to Romania following a brief holiday in South Africa.

The FCSB defender has been linked with a blockbuster move to French Ligue 1 side Lorient in recent weeks.

This comes after a string of promising performances for Romanian giants FCSB following his move to the club at the beginning of the season.

According to reports, FCSB rejected a R105 million offer for Ngezana from Lorient.

While the negotiations drag on, the Kaizer Chiefs academy graduate has already returned back to Romania and is preparing for tomorrow’s match against UTA Arad.

Former Amakhosi star Ngezana returns back to Europe

According to SoccerLaduma, Siyabonga Ngezana has safely returned back to Romania and is preparing for Monday’s Romanian Liga 1 clash against UTA Arad.

FCSB currently lead the way on the log standings with 44 points from 21 matches.
