Kaizer Chiefs star midfielder Keagan Dolly has sent a strong message to Orlando Pirates ahead of Saturday’s Soweto Derby at FNB Stadium.

Kick-off is at 15:30.

Speaking to the media on Thursday, Dolly said he is NOT, in any way, afraid of the Buccaneers who have been inconsistent of late.

Nonetheless, the same can be said about Chiefs after what has been a turbulent start to the year.

Dolly, himself, has struggled since returning from a long-term injury but even that doesn’t give him sleepless nights ahead of the Soweto Derby.

DOLLY WARNS PIRATES: ‘I’M NOT SCARED OF YOU’

“There is no way I am going to stand here and tell you guys that I’m afraid of Pirates,” said Dolly.

“I am not going to lie to look good on camera and say I am afraid of them, and their players should also be saying the same. It’s a Derby, it’s a football match. So, we should go out there and compete,” he added.

HOW HAS DOLLY FARED AGAINST PIRATES AS A PLAYER

Dolly has faced Pirates with three different clubs – Ajax Cape Town (now Cape Town Spurs), Mamelodi Sundowns and Chiefs.

He has, so far, featured in 13 matches against Pirates across all competitions, won six, drawn two and lost five.

The Westbury-born winger has two goals and two assists against Pirates – the two goals came while donning the Chiefs jersey.

Since Dolly’s arrival, Chiefs and Pirates met six times with the left-footer featuring in five of those – four of the five he played in ended in his team’s favour.
