Former Kaizer Chiefs star Junior Khanye believes the club’s decision makers have conducted poor transfer business thus far.

The Amakhosi have made no less than seven new signings but according to Khanye, only one of them actually made sense.

The Amakhosi have signed Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, Ranga Chivaviro, Tebogo Potsane, Mduduzi Mdantsane, Pule Mmodi, Given Msimango and Edson Castillo.

According to Khanye, only Ditlhokwe is worthy of donning the mighty Amakhosi jersey.

Kaizer Chiefs signed poorly – Junior Khanye

“Ditlhokwe, I will give him the benefit of the doubt. He deserves to be given a chance. He did well at SuperSport with Thulani Hlatshwayo. They didn’t concede so many goals or lose many.” Junior Khanye told Sowetan.

“Two years ago, Mdantsane should have come to Kaizer Chiefs because he and Nkosingiphile Ngcobo are similar players.

“Msimango, I don’t think he is better than the former defender of the season Njabulo Ngcobo.

“Mmodi is 31 this year, and how many seasons is he going to have, and the question is what has he done for Golden Arrows that much to earn a place.

“Chivaviro did well for Marumo Gallants, especially in the CAF Confederation Cup, but I thought they could go for Mayo before he renewed his contract with Cape Town City.”

“Potsane is a good signing, more dynamic, but he is still the same player. He doesn’t improve and he is still the same as he started. They should have signed Serero, and he can handle the pressure.”

Kgaogelo Sekgota has been linked with an exit from Kaizer Chiefs ahead of next season.

The speedy winger is reportedly drawing interest from Stellenbosch FC as well as from Belgium!

Sekgota has one year left on his contract at the Glamour after joining them in 2021 from Swallows.

The latest reports suggest Stellies will next table an offer for the 26-year-old Bafana Bafana international.

Amakhosi winger wanted locally and abroad?

“Stellenbosch FC have approached Kaizer Chiefs over the services of winger Kgaogelo Sekgota, who has a year left on his contract.” a SABC SPORT report read.

“But they will have stiff competition to try get a deal over the line with news that the player has also attracted interest from Belgium.

“Stellenbosch’s pursuit of Sekgota depends on whether they are willing to meet Kaizer Chiefs’ valuation for Sekgota as well as the player’s personal terms.

“It is likely allowing him to go abroad is more favourable, and should any potential move fall flat then Amakhosi risk losing the player as a free agent a year from now unless they table a contract extension.”
