Kaizer Chiefs: Saile better than Caleb but there’s a bit of a scam there – Khanye

Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Junior Khanye has given his verdict on the club’s two leading strikers in Christian Saile and Bonflis-Caleb Bimenyimana.

In his own words, Khanye said he’s not the person to hype international players but from the games he has watched, he feels Saile is better than Caleb.

However, he’s not fooled at all by what he has offered to Chiefs so far, saying the club was perhaps scammed when in signing Saile, adding that there’s nothing special about him even though he’s better than Caleb.

Khanye understands why there are huge expectations on both Saile and Caleb as international players at Chiefs, and that’s because of the standard set by the likes of Collins Mbesuma, Patrick Mabedi and Tinashe Nengomasha.

KHANYE GIVES VERDICT ON KAIZER CHIEFS DUO OF SAILE AND CALEB
“You know I don’t like hype, especially around an international player like Saile. I mean two, three runs, well he is better than the other one, [Caleb], not that he is good, he is better but… you can even write this one down, I’m not fooled, there’s a bit of a scam there too,” Khanye told iDiskiTV.
“But he is better than that one who plays 9 [Caleb] because you can see his touch when he receives the ball. But there is nothing special.
“When you play for the team he plays for, because of the history of the players that they have signed before, it is understandable why he is hyped.”
“There is an expectation because of people like Collins Mbesuma, Tinashe Nengomasha. I’m talking about the likes of Patrick Mabedi.
“We are talking about people who are at a different level. So, when you are an international player we are going to have such expectations. We are going to expect that kind of standard.”
