Kaizer Chiefs ‘reject’ struggling to find a team

The 25-year-old Mahlatsi only spent a season at Kaizer Chiefs before his contract was terminated by mutual consent.

Former Kaizer Chiefs attacking midfielder Kamohelo Mahlatsi is still clubless.

The 25-years old spent just one season with Amakhosi but found to break into the first team.

The former Moroka Swallows man only made six appearances for Chiefs last season.

In September, the midfielder’s contract was terminated by mutual consent making him a free agent.

Ex-Kaizer Chiefs player Mahlatsi looking for new team

According to the Citizen, the player is struggling to find a new club but is also looking forward to playing football again.

“I don’t think any player who was in Mahlatsi’s situation would be at a good place with himself during that time at Chiefs, especially when you know that you have the ability to help the club,” said a report from the Citizen.

“I don’t know what went wrong, and why he was not playing. But, he has made peace with that and he is looking forward to playing football again. He has been talking with some clubs for a move”

“I don’t want to name the clubs just yet, I just want to see him signing and let you know that it’s a done deal.

Kaizer Chiefs revelaed why the let go of the midfielder.

“Kamohelo has given his best at all times while a Chiefs player and, following consultation with his representatives, we decided to release him with a view to him finding more regular game time somewhere else. We appreciate his efforts and wish him all of the best for the future,” said Amakhosi Sporting Director, Kaizer Motaung Jr.
