ICYMI: Chiefs reject training in Sweden

RUMOUR: Sundowns, AmaZulu and Kaizer Chiefs battling for Swallows star

Kaizer Chiefs outcast Alexander finds a new home?

The Glamour Boys have done a great deal of squad churn in recent weeks. High-profile exits include academy star Siyabonga Ngezana moving to Romanian giants FCSB, formerly known as Steaua Bucharest. According to the latest reports from KickOff.com, veteran midfielder Cole Alexander has linked up with former boss Stuart Baxter at Swedish outfit Helsingborgs IF who find themselves in the second tier of Swedish football. Once giants of their country, they’re now in the relegation zone and could see themselves drop into the third tier. Baxter sees Alexander as someone who can help their plight.

“South African midfielder Cole Alexander will be training with HIF from today. He comes closest to Kaizer Chiefs and has previously trained by our head coach Stuart Baxter” wrote the club’s website.

MTN8 quarter-finals on the horizon

After their midweek defeat to Sundowns, Kaizer Chiefs now shift their focus to MTN8 quarter-final action. They face Cape Town City on Sunday in Athlone at 3pm still with fresh memories of their defeat to the Citizens on the final day of the 2022-23 DStv Premiership season. SuperSport United battle Stellenbosch at 6pm later that day. Before all of that, Sundowns face Swallows on Saturday at 3pm before Orlando Pirates begin the defence of their crown against Sekhukhune on Saturday in a rematch of last season’s Nedbank Cup final. That’s at 6pm.
