Matlou has struggled for gamete under Cavin Johnson.

Furthermore, this is unlikely to change, given his placement in the current midfield pecking order. The likes of Yusuf Marat, Edson Castillo and Sibongiseni are regular starters. Whilst, Samkelo Zwane and Nkosingiphile Ngcobo are ahead of him too.

MATLOU WILL BE PLAYING FOR A NEW CLUB NEXT SEASON

He is still very young. Therefore, at 25, it is in his best interest to find a club where he can play more regularly.

“Matlou is only 25, so he has time to rediscover the form that saw him being signed by Chiefs, but he’ll do that somewhere else, not at Chiefs next season,” he added.
