Once again, the mighty Kaizer Chiefs are expected to show big ambitions in the coming transfer window. Reports say one of the Glamour Boys’ major targets is Yusuf Maart.

The club was expected to sign the 26-year-old midfielder last season, but his club Sekhukhune United were determined to keep their number six.

With the next transfer window coming up, and with the likes of Phathutshedzo Nange and Cole Alexandra not sparkling for Kaizer Chiefs so far, Maart is still wanted.

“Kaizer Chiefs are set to step up their pursuit of Sekhukhune United captain Yusuf Maart at the end of the season,” said Soccer Laduma in their latest weekly issue.

HE WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE FOR FREE

After the club showed determination to hold on to Maart when Kaizer Chiefs showed interest last season, Amakhosi still want their man from Cape Town’s Atlantis.

“According to a reliable source, the Naturena-based outfit are not giving up on their pursuit of the player, who emerged through the ranks at Orlando Pirates’ development structures. “

“According to information made available to the crew, Maart’s contract with Babina Noko runs until June 2023, and it has an option to extend it for another year,” the outlet added.

The 26-year-old player’s contract situation means Kaizer Chiefs will have to table a transfer fee, which should be rather big considering his talent and Bafana Bafana profile.
