Kaizer Chiefs prodigy requests to leave on loan?

A rising Kaizer Chiefs star has reportedly requested to leave the club on loan in search of much needed playing time!

Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Bontle Molefe is reportedly seeking a move away for the club in search of playing time.

Molefe was promoted to the first team at the tender age of 16 in 2019 however he’s yet to make his official debut for the club.

Chiefs have been blessed with a wealth of goalkeeping talent over the years and Molefe is reportedly uninterested in remaining a fourth choice keeper.

Itumeleng Khune, Brandon Petersen and Bruce Bvuma are all ahead in the goalkeeping pecking order at Kaizer Chiefs.

The 21-year-old is hoping to secure a loan move away from Naturena in search of game-time.

According to reputable local publication SoccerLaduma, Bontle Molefe has requested to leave Naturena on a loan deal.

In other news, Kaizer Chiefs defender Luke Fleurs is set to make his official debut for the club next month.

Fleurs joined the Glamour Boys at the beginning of the season as a free agent after parting ways with SuperSport United.

The 23-year-old centre-back made 70 appearances for Matsatsantsa before leaving the club at the end of last season.

And now, coach Cavin Johnson has confirmed the talented defender is in line to earn his debut for the club!

“Luke is very close as far as that is concerned. Yes, he came in probably three quarters to the season as a free agent, and you know he had to work very hard to get himself a club,” Johnson told Sowetan.

“And he got Chiefs as his next destination, and when he started at the village, he had to work very hard. But since we closed in December for those few weeks, he has come back looking a lot fresher. And now that we started training, Luke is looking very sharp.”

The publication further claimed Fleurs will likely make his debut for the club when the DStv Premiership resumes following the ongoing AFCON break.

Chiefs are due to face TS Galaxy on 13 February at the FNB Stadium.
