SALENG, LORCH AND TIMM TO GOOD FOR CHIEFS’ SITHEBE

This is because Miguel Timm, Monnapule Saleng and Thembinkosi Lorch are all in better form. Timm is one of the most solid and consistent players in the PSL while Saleng is arguably, the find of the season (alongside Mamelodi Sundowns’ Cassius Mailula). His talent is astonishing and his form speaks to this – Saleng has notched up a truly impressive 10 goals and five assists in the DStv Premiership.

Finally, since Lorch has returned he has brought spark and skill to the Bucs midfield, far more than Sithebe who has lacked attacking threat all season.

SOLID BUCS DEFENCE TO SOLID FOR NGCOBO

Then, the Bucs defence has been the heart of their success this season. Nkosinathi Sibisi and Tapelo Xoki have been excellent this season.

While Ngcobo has hardly featured and in the recent match against Swallows and Sekhukhune United he was not impressive enough to warrant selection into Amakhosi’s side. So, he will certainly not be good enough to make the Bucs if you look at recent form.

OUT OF POSITION MASHIANE WOULD BE OUT OF BUCS LINE-UP

Finally, Mashiane has been utilized as a forward in Amakhosi’s two recent matches. He has looked out of position, which he is.

Therefore, he would never be able to challenge Deon Hotto, Terrence Dzvukamanja or Kermit Erasmus at the Bucs.

In contrast, Amakhosi have lost their last two matches. Meaning, the Bucs carry form and momentum into the latest edition of the Soweto derby while the Glamour Boys have not been so glamorous and are struggling.
