MUST READ – KAIZER CHIEFS: SAY GOODBYE TO THESE NINE PLAYERS THIS JANUARY?

PSL icon Billiat has been clubless since departing Amakhosi a few months ago.

Therefore, with the January transfer window now underway, he could sign for any club. We take a look at the unlikely possibility of a return to Naturena for Billiat, while a move to Pirates is not entirely off the table either.

BILLIAT TO RETURN TO CHIEFS?

No interest has been confirmed from Amakhosi as yet.

However, initially, they wanted to keep the former Mamelodi Sundowns attacker at Naturena on the condition that he accept a pay cut. Unfortunately, Billiat and his agent did not agree, so the two parties decided to part ways.

With this in mind, Amakhosi could consider making him a new offer with their attacking struggling all season. However, they are likely to offer a lower deal, which Billiat may be more open to, having failed to find a club that matches his demands. Meanwhile, a local agent believes Billiat should ask for forgiveness and should consider returning to Chiefs, according to Goal.

In all likeliness, this is a move that is unlikely to materialize but it is possible by virtue of the fact that he is a free agent and Amakhosi is in the market for a new attacker. Furthermore, there is a strong history between the two clubs.

PIRATES COULD CONSIDER SHORT-TERM DEAL

Pirates are set to send Eva Nga back to Chippa United.

Furthermore, Souaibou Marou is likely to be loaned out or sold, having failed to impress Jose Riveiro. So, they could consider a short-term loan move for Billiat, given his vast experience in the PSL (having played for Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs). This is also unlikely to happen, but it remains a possibility.
