Kaizer Chiefs latest: Njabulo Ngcobo sets realistic target for Amakhosi

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Njabulo Ngcobo has revealed what he believes would be a realistic target for the club this season.

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Njabulo Ngcobo has revealed what he believes would be a realistic target for the club this season.

Speaking to the Chiefs media department, Ngcobo said the team has done ‘okay’ in the league this season despite huge criticism from the supporters.

Ngcobo said finishing in the top two will certainly be acceptable for Chiefs given how rampant log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns have been this season.

Inconsistency appears to be the main problem with Chiefs this season but they find themselves still in with a chance to win the DStv Premiership title.

As things stand, Chiefs are placed third on the log with 38 points from 21 games, and they are two points behind second-placed Royal AM.

“I think we’re doing okay in the league. Hopefully, we’ll finish in position two. For me, that would be something good for the team,” said Ngcobo.

Should Chiefs finish second come end of the season, they would have done enough to return to CAF Champions League football next term.
