Having played in the 1980s with Hellenic against Amakhosi, Hunt was asked to name the biggest talent he ever came up against.

“Ace Ntoelengwe was the best,” Hunt said on the YouTube channel Onside, as shared by @safootclassics via X.

“Ace was just… Ace, I mean, Jomo was brilliant, but Ace, I don’t know.

“He would just walk with the ball like that. And once you were near him, you got to be careful because he would just nutmeg you or play a one-two around you or something.

“Teenage [Dladla] was obviously exciting. You know he was dynamic, but Ace, for me, was the glue. If Kaizer Chiefs did their best 11, he [Ace] would be number one.

“I think if you asked Kaizer Motaung who is the best player he ever had, he thinks Ace would be. If he’s out of the top two, I would be very surprised, and he has had some top players at Chiefs,” Hunt concluded.
