Reports: Chiefs linked with European striker

It’s an open secret now. Kaizer Chiefs are in the market for a new striker. Colin Kazim-Richards could land at the OR Tambo Airport.

A former Brighton and Hove Albion could become a new Kaizer Chiefs player.

KAIZER CHIEFS TO SIGN COLIN KAZIM-RICHARDS?

With the 24-year-old Colombian striker Jasond Gonzalez reported to be on his way out, Amakhosi need a replacement.

According to Goal, the business managers of the 37-year-old Kazim-Richards have landed in Mzansi to meet the Motaung’s.

“The former Brighton and Hove Albion forward’s representatives are currently in South Africa on a mission to secure a contract with a PSL club for the experienced player,” the report said.

“GOAL understands that Kazim-Richards, who has remained a free agent since leaving Turkish top-flight club Fatih Karagumruk last winter, has been in contact with former PSL champions Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United through his agency,” the report added.

AMAKHOSI’S NEXT FIXTURE

Following the Soweto derby 1-0 loss to Orlando Pirates on the 11th, Amakhosi will visit Moroka Swallows in Dobsonville on Sunday, 26 November.
