The new Kaizer Chiefs squad has a new starting line, thanks to five injuries to fairly regular starters. Let’s take a look at coach Arthur Zwane’s new team.

KAIZER CHIEFS SUFFER FIVE INJURIES

Following two games against Royal AM and TS Galaxy in the past fortnight, Amakhosi have since confirmed four injury casualties.

Khama Billiat, torn groin muscle – Out until next season
Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, thigh muscle – Out for three to four weeks
Reeve Frosler, jaw fracture – Out for six to eight weeks
Dillan Solomons, dislocated shoulder – Out for six to eight weeks
Caleb Bimenyimana, ankle injury – Unconfirmed period.

ARTHUR ZWANE’S REPLACEMENTS

As in any football club worldwide, a player’s injury is another one’s opportunity. The right-back position has been made available to a central defender, while Ngcobo and Bimenyimana’s injuries have gifted some academy kids a big chance.
