Meanwhile, the former KZN academy midfielder has accepted and signed a better deal with Russian Premier League side FC Fakel Voronezh.

According to the SABC’s Mazola Molefe, Amakhosi did the utmost, but Cele was expecting a bit more in terms of the money or length of the contract.

“Chiefs really gave it their best shot with a good offer that Thabo Cele turned down – not sure Russia is a good move,” Molefe said via Twitter.
