KAIZER CHIEFS ANNOUNCE JASOND GONZALEZ FROM COLOMBIA

As confirmed by the Soweto giants this past week, the 24-year-old Gonzalez is a new Glamour Boy.

“With the season already underway, Kaizer Chiefs continue to bolster their squad by announcing the signing of Efmamjjasond Gonzáles Palacios from Colombia, as they prepare to compete strongly in 2023/24,” Amakhosi reported.

“The forward, simply known as Jasond González, is the second player from Colombia to sign for Amakhosi. He joins the team a year after his fellow countryman, Leonardo Castro, departed South Africa.

“González, who was plying his trade in the Bolivian Primera Division for Real Santa Cruz, is expected to arrive in South Africa soon to start his career as a Glamour Boy,” the club concluded.

THE HOLD UP

According to reports, the South American star is facing travel delays.

“…they [Chiefs] will be made to wait slightly longer for his arrival, with his visa yet to be approved due to Colombia not having a South African embassy,” wrote iDiski Times’ reporter Lorenz Kohler.

“It’s delayed the process with his application needed to be sent to Venezuela, returning to Colombia before he can make his trip to Mzansi,” the report added.
