Kaizer Chiefs to sign Nigerian goalkeeper?

Kaizer Chiefs’ name is linked with a new player again – such is the quality of the squad. Is a new keeper coming?

Not many Kaizer Chiefs supporters will be unhappy with this. The club is said to be hunting for a new goalkeeper.

With Brandon Peterson in a state of irreparable lost confidence, Itumeleng Khune in the twilight of his career and Bruce Bvuma unfit, Amakhosi are unsurprisingly in the market for a new number one.

According to page four of IDisikiTimes, the first hot target is Chippa United’s 27-year-old goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali.

The report says the Nigerian has caught the eye after six clean sheets in 11 games. Sounds like the new Daniel Apkeyi.

WHAT NEXT FOR AMAKHOSI?

Following the Soweto derby 1-0 loss to Orlando Pirates on the 11th and the FIFA international break, Amakhosi will visit Moroka Swallows in Dobsonville on Sunday, 26 November.
