Kaizer Chiefs have given supporters seven new reasons to be excited. Let’s look at which squad players will face new competition.

Millions of Kaizer Chiefs supporters have eyes on the calendar in anticipation of August. The club has seven new players.

KAIZER CHIEFS’ SEVEN NEW SIGNINGS

As The South African website reported in the past weeks, Amakhosi are almost ready for next season with two new central defenders, an attacking midfielder, a defensive midfielder, two wingers, and a striker.

  1. Given Msimango, 26, central defender
  2. Thatayaone Dithlokwe, 24, central defender
  3. Mduduzi Mdantsane, 28, attacking midfielder
  4. Pule Mmodi, 30, winger
  5. Edson Castillo, 29, midfielder
  6. Ranga Chivaviro, 30, striker
  7. Tebogo Potsane, 29, winger.

AMAKHOSI’S PLAYERS TO FACE COMPETITION

The new arrivals do not bring a lot of exciting to some of the players at Naturena. The new faces could take the places of some players.

Central defense: The two new number 5s, Msimango and Ditlhokwe, will compete with Zitha Kwinika, Edmilson Dove and Njabulo Ngcobo.

Defensive midfield – The new arrival Castillo will do battle with Siyethemba Sithebe and Samkelo Zwane.

Wide attack: New wingers Potsane and Mmodi will compete with Ashley du Preez, Keagan Dolly and Kgaogelo Sekgota.

Central attacking midfield/ 10 – Mduduzi Mdantsane will be in competition with Mduduzi Shabalala, Khama Billiat, and Kamohelo Mahlatsi.

Strikers: Chivaviro will compete with Christiane Saile, Caleb Bimenyimana, and Wandile Duba.

Meanwhile, the Soweto giants are linked with midfielders like Tatenda Tavengwa and Thulani Serero.
