DSTV PREMIERSHIP RESULT: KAIZER CHIEFS 2-1 SUPERSPORT UNITED

As The South African website reported on Saturday night, SuperSport gave Amakhosi a scare. A cracking strike from Grant Margeman, on his weaker left foot, gave United a lead on 15 minutes.

However, the Glamour Boys had other plans. Some brilliant combination play between Yusuf Maart and Ashley Du Preez gifted Caleb a cross to smash home the equaliser on 40 minutes – before the towering 24-year-old Burundian completed his brace on 54 minutes from the penalty spot.

FOUR QUESTIONS AFTER SUPERSPORT

The encouraging win over Matsatsantsa a Pitori was primarily inspired by three major changes from coach Zwane. The coach known as ‘10111’ made a tweak in each department from defence, midfielder, and in the frontline.

CENTRAL DEFENCE

New signing Edmilson Dove earned his first start alongside Zitha Kwinika. Is Kwinika’s starting partner in central defence set to be Njabulo Ngcobo or Dove?

MIDFIELD

The club’s marquee signing of the window, Yusuf Maart, was moved from the number six to the eight position. The result was a classy performance that included the Man of the Match award. Is he moving to the number eight role?

KHAMA BILLIAT AND KEAGAN DOLLY

The club’s two biggest superstars, behind Itumeleng Khune, did not start the game. Khama Billiat is out injured, while Keagan Dolly made a substitute appearance. Are Amakhosi better off without Billiat and Dolly starting in the team?

FRONT THREE

Ashley Du Preez started wide in the number seven role, while Kgaogelo Sekgota was on his usual left flank, leaving Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimama in the center forward spot. Will Zwane give this front three a few more games?

The answers to these questions will unfortunately unravel after the current FIFA international break.
