KAIZER CHIEFS YOUNGSTER MFUNDO VILAKAZI SCORES AND SHINES IN THE CARLING KNOCKOUT

As many of you may have seen last Saturday, Amakhosi’s reserve team superstar Mfundo Vilakazi, fondly known as “Obrigado,” put his name in bright lights.

The 18-year-old scored a fourth-minute free kick as the Carling All Stars beat Stellenbosch FC 2-1.

JOSE RIVEIRO’S MESSAGE

Speaking to the media after the game, Vilakazi was asked to reveal what his selected coach, Jose Riveiro, told him before the action.

“The coach told me to not be scared when I have the ball, to keep it and do my thing, pass and not be scared, and just play like how I do in the MDC,” Vilakazi said to SABC Sport, as quoted by iDiski Times.

“I was so happy when I scored and it helped me settle in the game but that’s what I do, it’s small waters,” the Chiefs left winger/number 10 concluded.

Meanwhile, Vilakazi and his Chiefs teammates are preparing for the return of the DStv Diski Challenge this weekend.

Amakhosi will be at home to Chippa United at the iconic FNB Stadium on Saturday at 10:00.
