“In a thrilling development for Amakhosi fans across the country, Kaizer Chiefs have officially offered the talented midfielder Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, as well as goalkeepers, Bruce Bvuma and Brandon Petersen, new contracts. This exciting news comes as a reassurance of the Club’s faith in the three players’ immense potential and a commitment to securing a bright future for the trio and the team.

“Having joined the Club’s youth academy in 2014, Bruce Bvuma’s rise through the ranks has been nothing short of remarkable. From displaying exceptional skills and determination in every match he played, Bvuma swiftly made his way to the first team. His agility, lightning-fast reflexes, and unwavering commitment to the game have solidified his position as one of the most promising young talents in South African football.

“The contract extension, which keeps Bvuma at Kaizer Chiefs until June 2026 with an option to extend for a further year, underlines the Club’s belief in their goalkeeper’s abilities.

“Bvuma’s fellow goalkeeper, Brandon Petersen, has also penned a contract that will see him at Chiefs until the end of June 2026, also with an option to possibly add another year.

“29-year-old Petersen arrived at Naturena from the now-defunct Bidvest Wits in 2020, but he was only officially registered in July 2021. With the current season being his third for the Glamour Boys, he has represented the team in 43 official matches.

“The third contract signing is for Nkosingiphile Ngcobo. Just like Bvuma, Ngcobo started playing in the team’s development structures. He was promoted in 2017, at the age of 17, and has played in various competitions, including the CAF Champions League, where Amakhosi reached the final in 2021.

“‘Mshini’, as Ngcobo is known in football circles, has been given a 2-year contract, with a further one-year option.

“Amakhosi Sporting Director, Kaizer Motaung Jr., expressed his delight in securing the three players’ services for an extended period, saying, “Bruce, Mshini and Brandon have shown immense potential as Chiefs players and have displayed great dedication to the Club. We believe in their abilities and are confident that they will continue to be an integral part of our team’s success in the coming years. We are excited to see them reach new heights.”

“Bvuma who has featured four times for Amakhosi this season, and managed to keep three clean sheets, expressed his gratitude to the Club and its supporters, stating, “I’m extremely humbled and grateful for the opportunity to continue representing Kaizer Chiefs. This Club has been my home for years, and I am highly motivated to work even harder for our fans and to bring more success to the Gold and Black jersey.”

“Ngcobo says he will continue to work very hard to repay the faith the Club has shown in him over the years. “I shall work hard to ensure that I contribute as much as I can as the team works on securing a trophy for the multitudes of supporters who are always behind us.”

“Cape Town-born Petersen says, “I’m happy to continue my great journey with Kaizer Chiefs. We need to keep working hard as a collective so we can reward the Chairman and the millions of supporters who fill us stadiums every week to see us play by bringing some silverware to Naturena.”

“The extension of the three players’ contracts not only reinforces Kaizer Chiefs’ determination to build a formidable squad, but also serves as a testament to their commitment to nurturing and retaining young, home-grown talent.”
