KELETSO MAKGALWA TO KAIZER CHIEFS?

According to the report by iDiskiTimes’ leading reporter, Sinethemba Makonco, lower division side Upington City and Chiefs agreed on the numbers to sign Makgalwa.

“Motsepe Foundation Championship side Upington City have agreed terms with Kaizer Chiefs for Keletso Makgalwa’s move but he will only join Amakhosi at the beginning of the 2024/25 season,” the report said.

What is the meaning of agreed terms?

In case you’re not sure, agreeing on terms involves three to four numbers:

The price to buy the player (if he still has a contract with the selling club), the salary, the length of the contract and the signing-on fee to the player (eg. R250 000).

The next step will be the arrival of the contract in Makgalwa’s hands for him to sign.

KAIZER JR SLAMS THE REPORT

After coming across the report on X, the club’s Sporting Director dismissed the story as false.

“Again, this is completely false reporting. Inaccurate,” Motaung said.

“This player has not signed for Kaizer Chiefs. Kaizer Chiefs has never engaged or spoken to this player or any representative.

“This player WILL NOT be joining Kaizer Chiefs next season.”
