KAIZER CHIEFS LOSE TO YOUNG AFRICANS

As reported last week, the first game was a 1-0 loss to Tanzanian giants Yanga, where a large group of followers were left unimpressed.

“Maybe it’s me being a South African because as South Africans we’ve got little love for oneself, so hopefully overtime, we’ll outgrow the negativity in us about us and become a very positive nation,” Ntseki said via the Sowetan.

“It [being doubted and ridiculed] has happened to me since I started coaching 25 years ago,” the Chiefs tactician continued.

“There’ll always be people who’ve got their opinions in terms of how you do things and your approach…the type of players you use, so I think in the past 25 years I’ve gone through that.

“I wasn’t surprised [when people questioned his credentials] but the most important thing is that I’ve got a job to do and that job has to be done to the best of my ability,” Ntseki added.

Meanwhile, Amakhosi take on Township Rollers in Botswana on Saturday at 15:00 live on SuperSport Channel 202.
