A plethora of talent is heading out of Naturena. Several coaches are leaving too. Let’s focus on the players that are likely to stay at Kaizer Chiefs.

Kaizer Chiefs have told several players they will be released. Meanwhile, one coach has departed and another Amakhosi coach is heading out of Naturena.

So, who will be left at Chiefs for Nasreddine Nabi and his staff to build and work with?

FULL LIST OF CHIEFS PLAYERS EXPECTED TO WORK WITH NABI

  • Bruce Bvuma
  • Given Msimango
  • Reeve Frosler
  • Dillon Solomons
  • Yusuf Maart
  • Sibongiseni Mthethwa
  • Nkonsingiphile Ngcobo
  • Mduduzi Tshabalala

AMAKHOSI PLAYERS EARN CONTRACTS EXTENSIONS

Edmilson Dove and George Matlou have earned contract extensions.

“Kaizer Chiefs have activated a one-year contract extension for Edmilson Dove, ending speculation about his future,” FarPost confirmed.

“Kaizer Chiefs have triggered the option on midfielder George Matlou’s contract to keep him at Naturena for another season” SABCSport revealed.

Meanwhile, ex-Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Bvuma signed a two-year contract extension at the start of the year that will see him stay at Chiefs until 2026. Additionally, Msimango and Thatayaone Ditlhokwe are the only other defenders not linked with possible exits so far.

Therefore, Maart, Mthethwa and Ngcobo are expected to be key players for Amakhosi in next season’s PSL. They are all in good form and they could form the heart of the midfield next season. Meanwhile, Shabalala could earn more opportunities next season. Especially, if Chiefs new coaches see and decide to use his potential.

NEW MANAGEMENT TEAM TO DETERMINE THE FUTURE OF PLAYERS

Ultimately, Nabi and his new coaching team will determine the future of several stars.

Namely, Itumleleng Khune, Brandon Peterson, Zitha Kwinika, Mduduzi Mdantsane, Edson Castillo, Samkelo Zwane, Mfundo Vilakazi, Tebogo Potsane, Pule Mmodi, Christian Saille, Range Chivaviro, Wandile Duba and Ashley Du Preez. Interestingly, only Vilakazi, Mmodi, Saile, Chivaviro and Dube have not been linked with exits yet.

Therefore, the new technical team at Naturena will have the final say on the future of these players.
