Kaizer Chiefs must bring back Mushin Ertugral, says ex-PSL coach

Former Black Leopards and Chippa United coach Vladislav Heric believes Kaizer Chiefs should look at bringing a coach like Muhsin Ertugral.

Amakhosi have struggled this season under the new coach Molefi Ntseki and many of their supporters have called on the club to sack the 54-year-old.

Chiefs have now gone eight successive years without any silverware and with rivals Orlando Pirates winning trophies left, right, and centre, the Khosination are becoming impatient with the club management.

Kaizer Chiefs might need to go bacl to Muhsin?

Heric, believes is all down to coaching and Kaizer Chiefs should look at hiring a coach that bring the club back to its former glory days.

“Being a coach in South Africa is difficult, nobody is patient,” the Serbian coach told Soccer Laduma.

“They need a coach that can handle the pressure because there’s huge pressure at Chiefs. Kaizer Chiefs need to play a different football than they are currently doing, that’s my opinion. They need to be more aggressive in defending and more pressing when attacking. They need more numbers when attacking.”

Heric said the Soweto giants should consider Ertugral.

“Muhsin Ertugral can do a great job with this Chiefs team, he likes aggressive football. Chiefs should consider him because most of the players there have pace and Muhsin loves that,” he said.

Ertugral had two stints at Kaizer Chiefs and led Amakhosi to four trophies in one season back in 2001.

“What i like about Muhsin is that he doesn’t allow nonsense on the field; he only works with ahrd workers,” concluded Heric.
