Sibongiseni Mthethwa to Kaizer Chiefs has finally happened for Amakhosi fans. Stellenbosch FC have announced the deal.

The news was announced by the Cape Winelands club on Wednesday night, confirming that Amakhosi have activated a buy-out clause.
“Stellenbosch Football Club can confirm that Sibongiseni Mthethwa will join Kaizer Chiefs Football Club on a permanent transfer after a buy-out clause in his contract was activated,” the club said.
“When Mthethwa initially joined the club, a buy-out clause was negotiated into his contract and that has now been activated by Kaizer Chiefs,” the club’s CEO Rob Benadie added.

Meanwhile, Amakhosi have now have five central midfied options: Edson Castillo, Yusuf Maart, Siyethemba Sithebe, Samkelo Zwane and Mthethwa.
Mthethwa is expected to inspire a new three-man midfield as the six behind Maart and Castillo( two number 8s).
