Kaizer Chiefs: Motaung hints at big name players leaving Naturena – reports

Kaizer Chiefs Marketing Director Jessica Motaung has just dropped a BOMBSHELL on Amakhosi fans after hinting that some of their biggest stars may be leaving Naturena this January.

Motaung (Jessica) has just hinted at the possibility of some huge departures for Amakhosi this January, according to SoccerLaduma.

The January transfer window is fast approaching and so is the end of some senior Amakhosi players time at Naturena.

Furthermore, when one door opens another closes. In the same breath, Motaung has opened the door to the youngsters, the future stars of Amakhosi.

Motaung spoke about the up-and-coming transfer window and some of the decisions that have to be made.

“There are serious decisions for us to make. I mean players who have been there with us for years and set the foundation,” Motaung stated.

SENIOR PLAYERS AT RISK OF LEAVING AMAKHOSI

Therefore, a couple of senior players are likely to leave Naturena this January.

The current senior members in Amakhosi include club captain Itumeleng Khune, fellow Amakhosi legend Erick Mathoho, Khama Billiat, S’fiso Hlanti and Phathushedzo Nange. Currently, Khune and Hlanti seem safe while Mathoho, Billiat and Nange all face the risk of leaving in January.

However, Motaung is viewing this as a time for growth – an opportunity for youngsters who have done well to take the club forward in the future.

“Our new players have come in and done a good job, but certainly what has been done with our youth is incredible, to [Molefe] Ntseki and the team, they’ve done an incredible job, so for me I am excited,” she added.

This January is shaping up to be one of the most defining transfer windows in Amakhosi history with the possibility of Amakhosi legends and club veterans leaving while the door is opening up for the future of several bright young Amakhosi prospects.

Opportunity arises for the likes of Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, Samkelo Zwane, Mduduzi Shabalala and Wandile Duba.
