However, they haven’t fully taken advantage of their numerical numbers in terms of big score margin coupled with the number of penalties awarded to them (8) so far this season.

On Saturday, Chiefs played against 10-man Richards Bay FC, and won by a single goal, and this was the eighth time they play against a team with a man down.

Goalkeeper Salim Magoola was given his marching orders in the 19th minute after denying Keagan Dolly a clear goalscoring opportunity deliberately handling the ball outside the box.

In February 2023 alone, three different opponents, namely, TS Galaxy, Maritzburg United and Orlando Pirates had their players sent off against Chiefs.

Richards Bay FC then became the first side to see red against Chiefs in March, and the eighth overall.

Now, the question is, how many more opponents will get red cards when playing Chiefs in the remaining matches of the current season?

It is also worth mentioning that all those red cards were legitimate, and perhaps Chiefs deserve credit for forcing opponents into making mistakes.

Furthermore, Chiefs won five of the eight matches they played against opponents with 10 men while the other three ended in draws.
